Pastor Bryan Moss

Pastor Bryan Moss

Bryan is the first of 5 children born to Roosevelt and Nannette Moss of Hickory NC. Bryan’s passion for sports was passed on from his father who is an 8th degree black belt and a former professional boxer and kickboxer. At an early age he was taught by his father that he could do anything he believed he could if he had the discipline necessary to complete the task! That would prove to be what Bryan needed as his father slipped into a life of crack cocaine, crime and ultimately prison; leaving a mother to raise 4 kids alone. This was the season in Bryan’s life when he was introduced to football.

Being a black boy in the 80s and 90s he decided to play football because he knew with everything going on with his father in prison and mother working as hard as she could to take care of 4 kids at the time, college savings was not in the picture. He told his mother at 12 years old, “I’m gonna play football so I can get a scholarship to pay for college because we don’t have money for that…”.

As God would see fit, two great things happened in Bryan’s life before he graduated from high-school. First, his father got clean and returned home after 8years. Second Bryan was recruited by many Division 1 Schools and accepted a full athletic scholarship to play football at East Carolina University.

This is a story of redemption, grace and mercy. During his days at ECU Bryan learned that the dog days of 300s in the summer and winter conditioning at 5am in February would make a man out of him but football would not be in his future. God would lead him into the faith arena. Bryan now serves as Senior Pastor of the Lake Como Church in Fort Worth Texas. He graduated with a B.S. in Economics from East Carolina University, a B.S. in Religious Studies from Southwestern Christian College and a Masters Degree in Theology from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

Since his days at ECU Bryan has travel from coast to coast in America and around the world preaching and teaching the Word of God. He also sits on the board of a global missions organization called Mission Resource Network and leads a group of church leaders to Africa annually for global missions initiatives. He is married to his college sweet heart, Tronda and they have two boys together. Bryan is honored to be on a team of former athletes and coaches that work together to pour into the next generation of student athletes.
